SignalWatch Vision is an intelligent camera-monitoring platform designed to work with existing security-camera infrastructure. Instead of requiring personnel to continuously watch every camera feed, it uses artificial intelligence to identify selected security, safety and operational events and bring them to an operator’s attention.

The Monitoring Problem
Security and operational camera networks can generate more video than personnel can continuously review. Important events may be discovered late, overlooked entirely or require significant time to investigate after the fact.
SignalWatch Vision is being developed to analyze selected video streams and surface events that meet clearly defined operational rules.
Organizations can connect their existing cameras, define the areas they care about and configure what types of activity should generate an event. For example, an operator could create a rule that alerts them when a person enters a restricted area, when a vehicle remains in a loading zone, when a gate is left open or when movement occurs around a protected asset outside permitted hours.

What Vision Detects
From passive video to actionable events.
01
Person and vehicle detection
02
Restricted-area monitoring
03
Perimeter activity
04
Intrusion events
05
Loitering or prolonged presence
06
Objects entering or leaving defined zones
07
Gates, doors or cabinets left open
08
Equipment presence or absence
09
Area occupancy
10
Visible smoke or fire indicators
11
Configurable schedules and alert rules
12
Searchable event history
13
Camera and system health monitoring
The platform analyzes video, creates an event record and provides the operator with the relevant camera, time, location and footage. Authorized personnel remain responsible for reviewing the event and deciding what action should be taken.

Technical note
SignalWatch Vision is not intended to replace guards, emergency systems, certified fire alarms or human decision-making. Its purpose is to help personnel monitor more areas effectively and investigate important events faster.

Privacy and Human Oversight
SignalWatch Vision is intended to be configured around defined operational events rather than indiscriminate collection. Deployment planning should address purpose limitation, camera placement, access controls, retention, audit history and applicable privacy requirements.
SignalWatch Vision should prioritize configurable rules, understandable alerts and human review. The system surfaces information; authorized personnel remain responsible for operational decisions.
- 01Customer-controlled configuration
- 02Minimum necessary data
- 03Role-based access
- 04Event audit history
- 05Configurable retention
- 06Human review
- 07No unsupported biometric claims
Current Development
Vision roadmap.
Phase 01
CurrentCurrent
- Camera ingestion
- Selected object detection
- Configurable zones
- Event generation
- Dashboard review
Phase 02
Next
- Edge deployment package
- Multi-camera management
- Improved event rules
- Health monitoring
- Audit logs
Phase 03
Future Research
- Sensor fusion
- Thermal-camera support
- Cross-camera event correlation
- Maritime-specific vision models
- Deployable-site integration
Current-phase items reflect capabilities working in the software prototype today. Later phases describe directions of development, not completed work or commitments. The proposed edge-deployment model would place selected inference capabilities near the camera network, reducing unnecessary video transfer and keeping more data on site.

Intended Outcome
Have a monitoring environment worth evaluating?
SignalWatch is seeking practical pilot environments where camera-based event detection can be evaluated against clearly defined operational requirements.
